Response-Ability: Announcing Our 2021 Charitable Partners!

Konik PrimeStaff is excited to announce our 2021 “Response-Ability” charitable giving campaign partners! We will donate $200 per placement, up to $25,000, to our charitable fund! This benefits five highly impactful Minneapolis area non-profits, Cookie Cart, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, Washburn Center for Children, Hope4Youth, and Avivo!

As a Minneapolis-based technical recruiting firm since 1974, we are heartbroken by recent events, and the effects it’s having on the city, our neighbors, and business peers and are eager to give back to our community. This initiative closely aligns with our Purpose: Positively Impact People’s Lives. In this time of uncertainty, we strive to help whenever and wherever we can, and this is one way we’re able to do so.

Our Response-Ability to the Community

Cookie Cart, “Baking Bright Futures,” is based in North Minneapolis and provides urban youth, ages 15 to 18 years old, with lasting and meaningful work, life, and leadership skills through experience and training in a non-profit bakery. The long-term employment readiness impact on enrolled youths includes leadership development, connectedness to new communities, strengthened future goal orientation and enhanced critical thinking skills.

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon supports local businesses and the community in several ways. They serve as a resource to connect technical assistance providers, offer financial resources to recover from recent civil unrest damage, advocate for businesses along the West Broadway Corridor, and connect business owners to develop more robust networks in North Minneapolis.

Washburn Center for Children is the state’s leading children’s mental health center, caring for a wide variety of children’s needs such as attention deficit disorder, trauma, behavioral problems, anxiety, learning difficulties, and depression. In 2020 alone, they assisted 3,900 youth to overcome these struggles.

Hope4Youth provides pathways to end youth homelessness in our community. On any given night, there are more than 6,000 homeless young people in the State of Minnesota staying on the streets, many of them right here in our community. Whether they need basic necessities – food from the food pantry, clothes from the clothing closet, a hot shower, a hot, nutritious meal, or personal hygiene items – or help to find housing, securing employment, finishing their education, or accessing health care, Hope4Youth helps them find a path that allows them to move forward with their lives – no longer experiencing homelessness.

Avivo serves nearly 13,000 individuals each year; helping them achieve recovery, find housing stability, and achieve employment and economic advancement. Avivo spearheaded the state’s first tiny house village, sheltering hundreds of people to enable their stability and prosperity. Their holistic approach to providing chemical and mental health services, career education, and employment services embraces each person’s unique journey. This approach lays a foundation of health, and social and economic wellness, that transforms lives.
